The UAN number is a unique 12-digit ID given to every employee when they start contributing to their PF account. Earlier, managing PF accounts was slow and confusing, often leading to mistakes. The UAN system changed this by bringing everything together in one place.

Each employee gets only one UAN for their entire career, which links all their PF accounts. This makes it easier to track contributions, update details, and manage PF activity. The UAN member e-SEWA portal acts as a single platform where employees can check their balance, update KYC, withdraw funds, and use other PF services quickly and easily.

Key Takeaways

  • The UAN portal gives you a single window for managing all PF accounts related to your career.

  • Employees can update their KYC details, check their balance, download their passbook, and initiate withdrawals online.

  • Employers can register establishments, update employee details, and manage EPF contributions.

  • The portal makes PF transfers and withdrawals faster, simpler, and fully digital.

What Is the UAN Member Portal?

On the e-SEWA online portal, users can access a wide variety of services and information regarding their PF contributions and carry out activities like checking balance information, details of past employers, updating KYC details, raising withdrawal requests, etc. The portal is available to both employees and employers.

If any organisation has 20 or more employees, it must undergo the online EPFO UAN registration process. It involves generating a password and a unique user ID for future use.

Employees must register and log in to their accounts on the EPF e-Sewa portal to access the services.
