Bonus Issue

A bonus Issue is a corporate action in which a company issues bonus shares as new or additional shares, free of cost and in proportion to the shares held by the shareholder.

Subdivision/Stock Split

Stock sub-division or stock split is a corporate action in which a company increases the number of its outstanding shares by issuing more shares to its existing shareholders.

Dividend

A dividend is an amount the company pays to its shareholders out of its profits. This regular profit-sharing payment in the form of dividends is a corporate action initiated by the company regularly.

[July-25] The company offers its shareholders the right to purchase its shares at a discount on a predetermined date known as the record date in arights entitlement. 

Shareholders are granted Rights Entitlements (RE) by temporarily crediting their Demat accounts with RE, giving them the right to participate in a Rights Issue. Please note that these are Rights Entitlements and not Rights shares. To get the shares, you should apply at their respective Registrar & Transfer Agent (RTA) and convert RE into shares. You should keep in mind that RE is temporary, and until you apply and pay the requisite amount, rights shares won’t be credited to your Demat account.

Please note: The value of RE will be zero after the Rights Issue closure date.

RE Trading Period: The Exchange will publish a circular 2 days prior to the issue open date.

How to apply for Rights Issue: The Rights Issue offer is updated with ASBA (Application Supported Blocked Amount). 

• For the online ASBA process, visit the website of an SCSB (Self-certified Syndicate Bank) and apply.
• For the offline ASBA process, submit a physical application to participate in the Rights Issue at a designated SCSB.

As per a recent NSE Circular, the Quantity Freeze Limit and market lots for different indices have been revised w.e.f 01-Jul-25. 

Below are the Quantity Freeze Limits and Market Lot for the mentioned indices.

This is to inform you of the new revisions in early expiry as per the NSE and BSE circulars dated 23-Jun-2025. All members are hereby informed to note the following revisions on the expiry day of the Index and stock derivatives contracts below.

For NSE:

1. The circular shall come into effect from 28-Aug-2025 (EOD) i.e. Expiry Day for all existing contracts will be revised to “New Expiry Day” on 28-Aug-2025 (EOD).
2. Any new contract created for trading on / after the effective date shall be created as per the revised expiry day as mentioned in the aforesaid table.
3. Revised expiry date of all existing derivatives contracts shall be available in the contract file which shall be generated on 28-Aug-2025(EOD) end of the day which shall be applicable for trading on 29-Aug-2025.

For BSE:

1. The expiry of already introduced index and stock derivatives contracts with expiry falling on / before 31-Aug-2025, will not be revised.
2. Revised expiry date of existing index derivatives contracts including long dated options contracts but excluding Sensex weekly contracts shall be available in the contract master file which shall be generated on 24-Jun-2025, end of the day which shall be applicable for trade date 25-Jun-2025.

3. The revised expiry date of existing Stock derivatives contracts shall be available in the contract master file which shall be generated at the end of 10-Jul-2025, which shall be applicable for trade date 11-Jul-2025.

CeFCoM is a secure and transparent payment ecosystem developed with the objective of securing that investors pay fees only to registered investment advisors and research analysts. It is an optional mechanism. CeFCoM is thus a payment mechanism that differentiates registered IAs and RAs from unregistered entities acting as IAs and RAs. CeFCoM has been operationalised from 1st October 2024 and is managed by BSE Ltd in association with MF Utilities India Pvt. Ltd. In CeFCoM, investors can make payment of fees through multiple payment modes such as Net Banking, Debit Card, UPI/UPI Autopay, IMPS/NEFT/RTGS, eNACH and even through Cheque and Credit Cards
