Indian markets are likely to open positive tracking global indices and SGX Nifty.
After ending the previous session mostly higher stocks showed a strong move to the upside during trading on Wednesday. With the continued advance the major averages all ended the session at new record closing highs. The Dow up by 0.8 percent to 31188 and the Nasdaq was up by 2 percent to 13457.
U.K. stocks were little changed in choppy trading on Wednesday as traders reacted to Janet Yellens comments at her Senate confirmation hearing for U.S. Treasury secretary and awaited the inauguration of new U.S. president Joe Biden. Yellen advocated hefty fiscal spending arguing that the benefits. The benchmark FTSE 100 was up by 0.4 percentage to 6740.
