Indian markets are likely to open positive tracking global indices and SGX Nifty.

The US stocks regained some ground over the course of the trading day on Tuesday before pulling back sharply going into the close. The major averages ended the day firmly in negative territory. Dow still slumped 313.98 points or 1.2 percent to 26164 and the Nasdaq plunged 132.52 points or 1.7 percent to 7823.

The UK stock recouped some early losses on Tuesday and the pound fell sharply after comments from a source in Prime Minister Boris Johnsons office suggested that a Brexit deal was essentially impossible. The FTSE 100 ended down by 0.2 percent to 7186.

On domestic front Indian market remain closed today on account of Dussehra.
