Indian markets are likely to open flat tracking global indices and SGX Nifty.

US Stocks had difficulty following through on an initial move to the upside but remained mostly positive throughout the trading session on Friday. With the gains on the day the major averages ended the session at their best closing levels in about six months. The Dow edged up 0.2 percent to 26424 and the Nasdaq advanced 0.6 percent to 7938.

U.K. markets rose on Friday with mining and energy stocks pacing the gainers after the United States and China hailed major progress in recent talks. The FTSE 100 was down by 0.2% to 7415.

On domestic front Indian shares rebounded on Friday after two consecutive sessions of losses. Markets remained rangebound for the majority of the session before ending higher helped by a latesurge in metal stocks. The benchmark BSE Sensex was ended down by 0.5% to 38862 at the end of trading session.
