ndian markets are likely to open flat tracking global indices and SGX Nifty.

The US stocks staged a significant recovery attempt over the course of the trading day on Friday. The major averages climbed well off their worst levels of the day but still finished the session in negative territory. The Dow fell by 0.6 percent to 28133 and the Nasdaq plummeted by 1.3 to 11313.

UK stocks drifted down and ended sharply lower on Friday despite recovering from early lows and staying in positive territory till noon. A selloff in technology stocks following another spell of weakness in the U.S. technology space was the significant reason for European markets fall. Therefore FTSE 100 fell by 0.9 percent to 5799.

On domestic front Indian stocks plunged sharply in early trades Friday as investors pressed sales almost across the board tracking overnight setback on Wall Street amid worries about global economic growth. The benchmark BSE Sensex plunged by 1.6 percent to 38357.
