Indian markets are likely to open flat tracking global indices and SGX Nifty.

The US stocks showed another substantial move to the upside during trading on Friday. With the rally the major averages further offset the steep losses posted on Tuesday and Wednesday. Dow soared 1.4 percent to 26573 and the Nasdaq surged up 1.4 percent to 7982.

The UK stock market edged higher amid selective buying Friday morning even as the mood remained somewhat cautious with investors reacting to the developments on the political front and looking ahead to the monthly jobs data from the U.S. Labor Department. The FTSE 100 ended up by 0.3 percent to 7111.

On domestic front Indian shares fell on Friday amid growth worries as the Reserve Bank of India lowered its benchmark rate for the fifth time this year but slashed its growth forecast for 201920 to 6.1 percent from 6.9 percent saying domestic demand conditions remained weak amid subdued prospects for exports.
