Indian markets are likely to open negative tracking global indices and SGX Nifty.

US Stocks staged a significant recovery attempt over the course of the trading session on Monday after falling sharply at the open. The major averages climbed well off their lows of the session but remained stuck in negative territory. While the Dow fell by 0.3 percent to 26438 the Nasdaq plunged by 0.5 percent to 8123.

U.K. markets were closed yesterday.

On domestic front Indian shares followed global peers to end sharply lower on Monday as U.S. President Donald Trumps threat to raise tariffs on China triggered a global rout in risky assets. The benchmark BSE Sensex fell by 0.9 percent to 38600.
