Indian markets are likely to open flat tracking global indices and SGX Nifty.

US Stocks moved sharply higher over the course of the trading session on Wednesday. With the rally on the day the major averages reached their best closing levels in nearly two months. The Dow surged up by 1.8 percent to 25014 and the Nasdaq soared by 2.2 percent to 7183.

U.K. stocks rose on Wednesday as the pound dipped amid anxiety over Brexit. In addition comments from Apples chief that U.S.China trade tensions were easing helped sooth investor worries about slowing growth in China. The FTSE 100 was up by 0.9% to 6894.

On domestic front Indian shares ended a choppy session on a flat note Wednesday as investors looked ahead to the expiry of January FO series and the interim budget for 2019 for directional cues. During the trading session the BSE Sensex was ended on a flat note to 35591.
