Indian markets are likely to open with negative bias and may remain flat tracking the SGX Nifty Asian markets.
US markets moved mostly higher during trading on Thursday following the lackluster performance seen in the previous session. With the upward move on the day the techheavy Nasdaq reached a new record closing high. The moderate strength on Wall Street came following the release of a report from the Commerce Department showing stronger than previously estimated economic growth in the fourth quarter of 2016.
The majority of the European markets ended Thursdays session with small gains. After fluctuating between small gains and losses for much of the trading day the positive open on Wall Street pushed the majority of the European markets into the green in late trade.
Indian markets rose on Thursday after the Modi government moved a step closer to implementing the GST regime from July 1.
