Indian markets are likely to open flat tracking global indices and SGX Nifty.
US stocks saw some further downside during trading on Wednesday. The Dow slid to its lowest closing level in well over three months while the Nasdaq and the SP 500 ended the day at more than twomonth closing lows. The Dow slumped 0.9 percent to 25126.41 and the Nasdaq fell 0.8 percent to 7547.
U.K. stocks were sharply lower on Wednesday amid fears the U.S.China trade dispute could go on for longer than anticipated. FTSE 100 was down by 1.5 percent at 7164.
On domestic front Indian shares snapped a threeday recordsetting spree to end notably lower on Wednesday amid escalating trade tensions between the worlds two largest economies. The benchmark BSE Sensex was down by 0.6 percent to 39502.
