Indian markets are likely to open flat tracking global indices and SGX Nifty.
The US stocks moved to the upside early in the trading day on Wednesday but fluctuated over the course of the session before eventually closing little changed. The Dow was flat at 28734 and the Nasdaq inched up by 0.1 percent to 9275.
UK stocks edged up slightly on yesterday despite lingering worries about the corona virus outbreak and its broader economic impact. The benchmark FTSE 100 crept up by 0.2 per cent to 7493.
On domestic front Indian shares ended firmly in positive territory on Wednesday mirroring positive global cues after the head of the World Health Organization (WHO) said he was confident in Chinas ability to contain the deadly virus which has claimed 132 lives so far and infected nearly 6000 in China. The benchmark BSE Sensex rose by 0.6 percent to 41199.
