Indian markets are likely to open flat tracking global indices and SGX Nifty.
US Stocks fluctuated over the course of the trading day on Thursday. Unlike on Wednesday the major averages managed to end the choppy trading day in positive territory. The Dow climbed 0.4 percent to 25717 and the Nasdaq rose 0.3 percent to 7669.
U.K. Market rose on Thursday as the pound dipped and housebuilders rallied amid indications that majority members of parliament are in favor of retaining close ties with the EU. The FTSE 100 was up by 0.6% to 7234.
On domestic front Indian shares posted strong gains on Thursday with key benchmark indexes Sensex and Nifty ending up more than 1 percent to log their highest closing levels in nearly seven months buoyed by continued foreign fund inflows and amid heavy shortcovering on the eve of expiry of March series contracts. The benchmark BSE Sensex was ended up by 1.1% to 38545 at the end of trading session.
