Indian markets are likely to open positive tracking global indices and SGX Nifty.

US stocks showed a lack of direction over the course of the trading session on Tuesday after recovering from an initial move to the downside. The major averages spent much of the day bouncing back and forth across the unchanged line. Eventually the major averages finished the session slightly lower. The Dow slipped by 0.1% to 26058 and the Nasdaq also dipped by 0.1% to 7549.

U.K. stocks fell sharply on yesterday as optimism over U.S.China trade talks faded and the pound gained ground on speculation over a possible Brexit delay. The FTSE 100 fell by 0.5% to 7151.

On domestic front Indian shares fell notably on Tuesday amid rising geopolitical tensions after the Indian Air Force (IAF) carried out nonmilitary preemptive air strikes inside Pakistan early this morning targeting terror groups including JaisheMohammed. The BSE Sensex fell by 0.7% to 35974 at the end of trading session.
