Indian markets are likely to open positive tracking global indices and SGX Nifty.

US Stocks extended the volatile performance seen in the previous session and stocks showed a lack of direction over the course of the trading day on Thursday. The Dow and the SP 500 spent the day bouncing back and forth across the unchanged line although the techheavy Nasdaq managed to remain positive. The Dow lost 22 points or 0.1 percent to 24553 and the Nasdaq gained 48 points or 0.7 percent to 7073.

U.K. stocks markets ended on a mixed note on Thursday with investors making cautious moves amid concerns about U.S.China trade disputes. The FTSE 100 fell by 0.4% to 6819.

On domestic front Indian shares rose slightly on Thursday to snap a twoday losing streak amid latesession buying in index heavyweights.
