Indian markets are likely to open flat tracking global indices and SGX Nifty.

The US stocks moved mostly higher during trading on Tuesday extending the upward move seen over the course of the previous session. With the continued advance the techheavy Nasdaq reached another new record closing high. The Dow climbed 0.5 percent to 26156 and the Nasadq advanced 0.7 percent to 10131.

UK stocks rose on Tuesday as the latest PMI figures beat expectations. The FTSE 100 was up by 0.8 percent to 6297.

On domestic front Indian shares rose for a fourth straight session on Tuesday to close at nearly fourmonth highs. Buying was seen across the board despite rising coronavirus cases in the country and mixed messages from White House trade adviser Peter Navarro on the Phase 1 U.S.China trade deal. The benchmark BSE Sensex rose by 1.5 per cent to 35430.
