Indian markets are likely to open flat tracking global indices and SGX Nifty. US stocks showed a lack of direction over the course of the trading day on Friday. The major averages spent the day bouncing back and forth across the unchanged line. The Dow edged down 0.1 percent to 26719 and the Nasdaq slipped 0.2 percent to 8031.
U.K. stocks were moving higher on Friday with energy stocks leading the surge amid rising tensions in the Middle East. The FTSE 100 moved up by 0.3 percent to 7443.
On domestic front Indian shares tumbled on Friday as fears of a military confrontation between Tehran and Washington as well as renewed U.S.China trade tensions overshadowed investor euphoria around dovish messages from central banks in the U.S. and Europe. The benchmark BSE Sensex was down by 1.1 percent to 39194.
