Indian markets are likely to open flat tracking global indices and SGX Nifty.

U.S. stocks are showing a lack of direction in morning trading on Wednesday following the strength seen in the previous session. The major averages have spent the morning bouncing back and forth across the unchanged line. The Dow Jones was down by 0.2% to 25772 and the Nasdaq was down by 0.1% to 7856.

U.K. shares recovered from early losses to turn higher during the last trading session and the pound held below twoweek highs as investors awaited the outcome of Brexit negotiations. The benchmark FTSE 100 was up by 0.2% to 7575.

On domestic front Indian Indian markets remain closed on Wednesday for Bakri Id. However benchmark indexes Sensex and the Nifty hit fresh record highs on Tuesday before giving up gains to end on a flat note while the rupee closed marginally higher at 69.81 per dollar. The BSE Sensex remains flat to 38286.
