Indian markets are likely to open positive tracking global indices and SGX Nifty.
The US stocks fluctuated over the course of the trading day on Tuesday before ending the session mostly lower. With the drop on the day the major averages pulled back off the record closing highs set last Friday. The Dow dipped 0.5 percent to 29186 and the Nasdaq fell 0.2 percent to 9370.
UK stocks ended mostly lower on Tuesday with investors largely making cautious moves. The benchmark FTSE 100 was down by 0.5 percent to 7610.
On domestic front Indian markets fell for a second straight session on Tuesday mirroring weak global cues after the International Monetary Fund (IMF) lowered its global growth estimate for 2020 and China reported fourth death following the outbreak of a new coronavirus. The benchmark BSE Sensex was down by 0.5 percent to 41324.
