Indian markets are likely to open flat tracking global indices and SGX Nifty.

U.S. stocks turned mixed over the course of the trading session on Friday after failing to sustain an early move to the upside. The major averages pulled back well off their highs of the session with the Nasdaq and the SP 500 ending the day in negative territory while Dow managed to close on a positive note. The Dow Jones inched up by 0.3 percent to 25444 and the Nasdaq fell by 0.5 percent to 7449.

U.K. shares were fluctuating on Friday and the pound held largely flat after European Union negotiator Michel Barnier said disagreements over the Ireland border could lead to a breakdown in the Brexit discussions. The benchmark FTSE 100 was up by 0.2 percent at 7037.

On domestic front Indian shares tumbled on Friday as liquidity concerns pulled down shares of nonbanking finance companies and heavyweight Reliance Industries plunged after posting lowerthanexpected earnings for the September quarter
