Indian markets are likely to open Negative tracking global indices and SGX Nifty.
Stocks staged a recovery attempt late in the trading session on Friday but still ended the day lower following the advance seen in the previous session. The major averages finished the day in the red after reaching record intraday highs at the start of trading. The Dow fell by 0.4 percent to 30179 and the Nasdaq by 0.1 percent to 12755.
U.K. stocks advanced on Friday and the pound fell as Britain and European Union negotiators played down expectations a deal will be reached. Speaking in the European Parliament Michel Barnier the EUs chief negotiator said it was the moment of truth for the two sides to come to an agreement. The benchmark FTSE 100 corrected by 0.3 per cent to 6529.
Indian shares hit fresh record closing highs for the fifth day running on Friday with underlying sentiment boosted by decreasing domestic Covid19 cases optimism over vaccine rollout and unabated foreign fund inflows. T
