Indian markets are likely to open positive tracking global indices and SGX Nifty.

US Stocks were closed on Monday for Washington Birthday.

U.K. markets closed on a slightly negative note on Monday amid continued optimism that upcoming round of talks between the U.S. and Chinese officials will take the two nations closer toward achieving a trade deal in the foreseeable future. The FTSE 100 was down by 0.2% to 7220.

On domestic front Indian shares fell for a eighth consecutive session on Monday with rising oil prices and a weak rupee on fiscal deficit concerns keeping investors nervous. During the trading session the BSE Sensex fell by 0.9% to 35498.
