Indian markets are likely to open flat tracking global indices and SGX Nifty.
The US stocks moved sharply higher over the course of the trading day on Friday following the lackluster performance seen in the previous session. The major averages all climbed firmly into positive territory after ending Thursdays trading mixed. The Dow surged by 1.2 percent to 25886 and the Nasdaq jumped by 1.7 percent to 7896.
U.K. stocks were modestly higher on Friday as trading began nearly two hours late due to a London Stock Exchange glitch. The FTSE 100 increased by 0.4 percent to 7098 as expectations grew of further stimulus by central banks.
On domestic front Indian shares fluctuated before finishing modestly higher on Friday amid conflicting messages on the SinoU.S. trade war and talk of aggressive central bank stimulus to battle an intensifying global slowdown. The benchmark BSE Sensex inched up by 0.1 percent to 37350.
