Indian markets are likely to open positive tracking global indices and SGX Nifty.
U.S. stocks moved mostly higher during trading yesterday. The major averages all climbed into positive territory after ending Wednesdays trading mixed. The Dow Jones rose by 0.6% to 26146 and Nasdaq climbed up by 0.8% to 8013.
UK stocks were slightly lower on Thursday as investors were looking ahead to the Bank of Englands monetary policy announcement. The bank left the policy unchanged at the end of the session. The FTSE 100 was down by 0.4% at 7282.
On domestic front Indian stocks posted strong gains on Wednesday after two days of selloff. The rupee rebounded by 100 paise in the afternoon to trade higher after hitting a historic low of 72.91 per dollar. The BSE Sensex moved upwards by 0.8% to 37718.
