Indian markets are likely to open flat tracking global indices and SGX Nifty.

U.S. stocks moved mostly lower over the course of the trading session yesterday after failing to sustain an early move to the upside. The major averages all pulled back off their highs of the session and into negative territory. The Dow Jones fell by 0.5% to 25188 and the Nasdaq dipped by 0.3% to 7820.

U.K. shares fell on Monday to extend losses from the previous session as fears over the collapse of the Turkish lira continued to spook markets. After the currency witnessed a free fall late last week the countrys central bank took measures to boost the liquidity in the foreign exchange market. The benchmark FTSE 100 was down by 0.5% to 7627.
