Indian markets are likely to open flat tracking global indices and SGX Nifty.

US stocks fluctuated over the course of the trading day on Thursday but largely maintained a positive bias. The major averages once again ended the session at their best closing levels in over a month. The Dow edged up 0.1 percent to 27182 and the Nasdaq climbed by 0.3 percent to 8194.

The UK stocks held steady on Thursday after U.S. President Donald Trump agreed to delay increasing tariffs on 250 billion worth of Chinese imports and British American Tobacco unveiled plans to cut 2300 jobs. The FTSE 100 was up by 0.1 percent to 7344.

On domestic front Indian market fell on Thursday as investors awaited the release of industrial output and retail inflation data later in the day for directional cues. The benchmark BSE Sensex was ended down by 0.5 percent to 37104.
