Indian markets are likely to open flat tracking global indices and SGX Nifty.

U.S. stock showed a lack of direction over the course of the trading session on Tuesday. The major averages pulled back off their early highs and spent the rest of the day bouncing back and forth across the unchanged line. The Dow dipped 0.2 percent to 24370 while Nasdaq rose 0.2 percent to 7031.

U.K. shares rose on Tuesday with a depressed pound revival of trade talks between the U.S. and Chinese officials and a positive trading update from Ashtead boosting investor sentiment. The benchmark FTSE 100 was up by 0.4% to 6747.

On domestic front Indian shares closed higher on Tuesday a day after the benchmark 30share Sensex saw its biggest singleday loss in two months on prepoll jitters. During the last trading session the BSE Sensex was up by 0.5% to 35150.
