Indian markets are likely to open negative tracking global indices and SGX Nifty.
The US stocks turned in a lackluster performance for much of the trading session on Friday but managed to end the day mostly higher. With the gains on the day the major averages all finished the session at new record closing highs. While the Dow was almost flat with a gain of 6 points to 27681 the Nasdaq rose by 0.5 percent to 8475.
The UK stocks fell on Friday as fresh worries over U.S.China trade talks unnerved markets offsetting betterthanexpected trade data from China. The FTSE 100 fell by 0.5 percent to 7373.
On domestic front Indian shares fell sharply on Friday after Moodys Investors Service downgraded Indias rating outlook and affirmed the sovereign ratings at Baa2. The benchmark BSE Sensex declined by 0.8 percent to 40323.
