Indian markets are likely to open flat tracking global indices and SGX Nifty.

The US stocks showed a strong move to the upside during trading on yesterday regaining ground following the selloff seen over the three previous sessions. The major averages all climbed firmly into positive territory but remain well off their recent highs. The Dow jumped 1.6 percent to 27940 and the Nasdaq soared 2.7 percent to 11141.

UK stocks close on a strong note on Wednesday as stocks bounced back after the U.S. market staged a smart rally led by technology stocks that had taken a severe hammering in recent sessions. The FTSE 100 surged by 1.4 percent to 60121.

On domestic front the Indian stock market ended notably lower after a weak start Wednesday morning with investors pressing sales at several counters from across various sectors.
