Indian markets are likely to open positive tracking global indices and SGX Nifty.

US Stocks fluctuated over the course of the trading session on Wednesday but largely maintained a positive bias on the day. Stocks remained mostly positive after the minutes of the latest Federal Reserve meeting confirmed Fed Chairman Jerome Powells recent remarks suggesting the central bank will take a patient approach to further interest rate increases. The Dow gained by 0.4 percent to 23879 and Nasdaq went up by 0.8 percent to 6957.

U.K. stocks finished higher Wednesday adding to their gains from the previous session. The markets continue to benefit from optimism about a potential trade deal between the U.S. and China. The FTSE 100 rose by 0.6% to 6907.
