Starting 15-Mar, MCX Trade Timings Revised
Are you aware of Daylight Savings Time? And the impact it has on the Indian Commodity exchanges?
In order to make better use of daylight, a few countries adjust their clocks by 1 hour. This little adjustment is referred to as Daylight Saving Time (DST). Among all the countries who observe this practice, Commodity exchanges in India follow the US Daylight Saving Time.
This year, US Daylight Savings Time will begin from 15-Mar-21 and will end on 7-Nov-21. Due to this, trading hours of MCX will be revised as mentioned below:
Particulars | Trading Hours |
Internationally Referenceable Non-Agri Commodities | 9:00 am to 11:30 pm |
Internationally Referenceable Agri Commodities (Cotton, Crude Palm Oil (CPO) & Kapas) | 9:00 am to 9:00 pm |
All Other Commodities | 9:00 am to 5:00 pm |
There is NO CHANGE in the square-off timings for Intraday Positions of MCX. All intraday positions will continue to be squared-off 15 minutes prior to close of trading hours.
