Neocure Therapeutics (NTL) was originally a partnership firm under the name Indocure Therapeutics. It acquired Pam Industries, a sick pharmaceutical company in Dec.'85. In Sep.'87, the company was incorporated as a private limited company by taking over the partnership firm. It became a public limited company in Aug.'88. The promoters are D Krishna Kumar Raju, D Sreerama Raju and D Bharathi. The company commenced commercial operations in Nov.'87, at its factory in Hyderabad, Andhra Pradesh. During the initial years of operation, the company could not do well due to insufficient working capital funds. In 1989, the Board of Directors was reconstituted. NTL is engaged in the manufacture of liquid orals (inst. cap. : 3 lac ltr pa), tablets (inst. cap. : 1566 lac pa) and capsules (inst. cap. : 152 lac pa). The range of products of the company include anti-inflammatory, anti-pyretics, analgesics, anti bacterial and antibiotics, vitamins and paediatric products. In 1995-96, the company proposed to modernise and expand the capacity of liquid orals, tablets and capsules to 12 lac ltr pa, 6216 lac pa and 602 lac pa, respectively. It came out with a public issue in Feb.'96 to part-finance its expansion-cum-modernisation programme. The company is proposing to enter Software exports and arrangements are on with USA firm. The company is now allset to launch Natural Bio-chemicals,which occur as essential oils used in perfumery,soaps,cosmetic,mosquito repellant creams,drug industry etc.The product which will be launched in the next year are a)Citriodora b)Citronella c) Lemon Grass d) Geranium e) Japanese Mint f) Palma Rosa. As the Bio-Technology concept is growing more in the Indian Economy the company expects more scope in this area.
