History of the Adani Group

Led by the esteemed industrialist Mr Gautam Adani, the Adani Group is today an industrial behemoth with a robust presence in a variety of sectors such as FMCG, renewable energy, infrastructure, etc. In 1988, Mr Adani established Adani Exports, known today as Adani Enterprises, i.e. the holding company of the Adani Group companies. The Adani Group was also recently in the news for some major acquisitions, such as ACC, Amuja Cement, RRPR Holding i.e. owner of 29.18% of NDTV and Mumbai International Airport. With over 23,000 employees, the group is made up of 7 publicly listed entities with a combined market capitalisation in excess of $242.73 billion as of August 29, 2022.
