History of Godrej Properties

Incorporated on February 8, 1985, as Sea Breeze Constructions and Investments Pvt Ltd, Godrej Properties Limited (GPL) is the real estate development arm of Godrej Group. Godrej Properties’ projects combine a long history of 125 years of excellence and trust with modern design and technology. The company is available in more than 10 locations in India, including Mumbai, Pune and Bangalore and has completed about 92 projects.

Notable projects under Godrej Properties include Planet Godrej in Mumbai, India’s tallest occupied building in 2008, with a unique fire escape chute. Godrej BKC, a LEED Platinum-rated commercial building, set a record for India’s highest end-user sales transaction. The Trees, a sustainable mixed-use project, achieved over ₹1,200 crore in sales within six months of launch. In 2010, Godrej Properties launched its IPO and raised USD 100 million. 

Godrej Properties has been recognised with more than 250 awards and recognitions, including the ‘Real Estate Company of the Year’ from the 9th Construction Week Awards 2019, ‘The Most Trusted Real Estate Brand’ in 2019 from the Brand Trust Report, ‘Equality and Diversity Champion’ 2019 from the APREA Property Leaders Awards, ‘Builder of the Year’ from the CNBC-Awaaz Real Estate Awards 2018 and ‘The Economic Times Best Real Estate Brand 2018’.
