HDFC Mutual Fund July 2026 Portfolio: BSE Holding Up, RIL and Paytm Stakes Cut

HDFC Mutual Fund changed its holdings across a large number of stocks in July 2026, according to The Economic Times report citing monthly data released by Prime Database. The fund house increased its holding in 422 stocks and reduced its stake in 164 stocks.
Stocks Where Holding Increased
BSE was among the stocks where HDFC Mutual Fund raised its holding. Other stocks in this group included Adani Enterprises, Adani Green Energy, Biocon, Ather Energy, Petronet LNG, L&T, ICICI Prudential AMC and HAL.
The fund house also increased its holding in HUL, TCS, ITC, Asian Paints, Vodafone Idea, Nippon Life India AMC, Eicher Motors, Colgate-Palmolive (India), Adani Power and Billionbrains Garage Ventures (Groww).
Reliance, Paytm Among Stocks Reduced
Reliance Industries was among the 164 stocks where HDFC Mutual Fund reduced its holding. The list also included Infosys, Maruti Suzuki India, Eternal, ICICI Bank, Kalyan Jewellers, HDFC Bank and Jio Financial Services.
Paytm was another stock where the fund house lowered its stake. Wipro, Lenskart Solutions, Siemens Energy India, BHEL, Adani Energy Solutions, Waaree Energies, Nestle India, IRFC, HDFC AMC and TVS Holdings were also among the stocks in this group.
Five New Entries
Five stocks were added to the portfolio in July 2026. The fund house added 1.32 crore shares of Diamond Power Infrastructure and 1.30 crore shares of SBI Funds Management.
It also added 16.45 lakh shares of INDO-MIM, 12 lakh shares of CMS Infosystems and 9.34 lakh shares of Laser Power & Infra.
Two Complete Exits
J.B. Chemicals & Pharmaceuticals and Nilkamal were fully removed from the portfolio. HDFC Mutual Fund sold around 1.29 lakh shares of J.B. Chemicals & Pharmaceuticals and 60,064 shares of Nilkamal.
Portfolio Details
HDFC Mutual Fund had nearly 703 stocks as of July 31, 2026. ICICI Bank accounted for 5.95% of the portfolio, followed by HDFC Bank at 4.94% and Axis Bank at 3.10%.
Financial services formed 32.15% of holdings, followed by consumer discretionary at 18.56%, healthcare at 10.86% and industrials at 9.31%.

Conclusion
The July 2026 portfolio changes covered 422 increased holdings and 164 reduced holdings. Five stocks were added to the portfolio, while two were fully exited.
