About Nippon Life India Asset Management

History of Nippon Life India Asset Management Limited 

Incorporated on February 24, 1995, Nippon Life India Asset Management Limited offers investment management services across several asset classes to Nippon India Mutual Fund investors and portfolio management and advisory services to the customers.  The company was incorporated as Reliance Capital Asset Management Limited. In 1995, the company was approved as an Asset Management Company (AMC) to the Reliance Mutual Fund (formerly known as Reliance Capital Mutual Fund). In 2004, they started their Portfolio Management Services (PMS). In the same year, they started their offshore operations in Mauritius. Later, in the next year, they established in Singapore.  In 2012, the company got the first tranche of investment from Nippon Life. In 2015, the company’s name was changed to Reliance Nippon Life Asset Management Limited, which was renamed as Nippon Life India Asset Management Limited in 2019. In 2017, the company went public and got listed on the exchanges.   As of March 2023, Nippon Life India Asset Management Limited is available in 270 locations and has about 1.35 crore unique investors. The company has a presence in Singapore, Japan and Dubai as well. The targeted business segments of Nippon Life India Asset Management Limited are Large Corporate Groups, Banks, Financial Institutions, Mid-size Corporates, HNI Investors, PSU Banks, Old Private Banks, Co-operative Banks, Gold Loan Companies, Small Finance Banks, etc.

  • Nippon Life India AIF Management Limited: This wholly-owned subsidiary of the company offers diversified investment options through several unique offerings around various asset classes. 
  • Nippon Life India Asset Management (Singapore) Pte. Limited: This wholly-owned subsidiary of the company carried out fund management activities in Singapore under the Securities and Futures Act (SFA).
