About Wipro
Wipro Limited was incorporated in 1945 as Western India Vegetable Products Ltd by Muhammed Hashim Premji (Father of Azim Premji). The company was listed on the BSE on June 13, 1947. Azim Premji took over the business in 1968, and by 1971, he managed to double it. The company's name was changed from Western India Vegetable Products Ltd. to Wipro Products Ltd. in 1977. It was again changed to Wipro Ltd. in 1984.
Wipro Limited is a leading technology services and consulting company focused on building innovative solutions that address clients’ most complex digital transformation needs. In 2009, Wipro received the first ever Teradata Partner Impact Award, and wipro.com won the Silver Award in the Davey Awards for Outstanding Work in Digital Design.
The company demerged its divisions (consumer care and lighting, medical equipment, and infrastructure engineering) into a new company called Wipro Enterprises Limited (WEL) in FY 2013 in order to sharpen its focus and allow each company to pursue its distinct growth plans.

- iCORE: This business space includes the service lines cloud and infrastructure services (CIS), digital operations and platform (DO&P) and Cybersecurity and risk services (CRS).
