Deepinder Goyal, founder and chief executive of Eternal, the parent company of Zomato, has offered an early look at an experimental wearable device known as ‘Temple’.
The small forehead-mounted sensor is intended to measure brain blood flow in real time. Goyal has been testing the device while examining his own ageing-related ideas and believes the technology may hold broader health value.
Goyal recently shared images of ‘Temple’ on social media, showing a compact, gold-coloured sensor attached to his forehead. In his accompanying post, he described the device as a work-in-progress aimed at capturing accurate and continuous data on blood flow to the brain.
He noted that the project originated from his personal research rather than a commercial initiative.
The wearable emerged from Goyal’s interest in what he calls the “Gravity Ageing Hypothesis”. In earlier posts, he outlined a concept exploring whether the force of gravity may influence the ageing process by affecting blood circulation to sensitive areas of the brain, including the hypothalamus and brainstem. He believes examining these areas could offer a different lens through which to study ageing.
Goyal has reportedly used the Temple device for about a year. He stated that blood flow to the brain is already considered an important factor in ageing, longevity and cognitive health.

The early preview of Temple signals Goyal’s interest in combining deeptech experimentation with broader health research. While the device and the underlying hypothesis remain exploratory, the project reflects ongoing curiosity about how brain circulation influences ageing and cognitive wellbeing.
