Cochin Shipyard has signed the agreement for its proposed joint venture with Drydocks World Dubai - FZCO (DDW). The company had first informed the exchanges about the proposed partnership on September 9, 2026, and confirmed the execution of the agreement two days later.  

The signing took place in New Delhi on the sidelines of the BRICS Summit 2026. DDW is a DP World company.  

Cochin Shipyard, DDW Sign Agreement 

Captain Rado Antolovic, CEO of Drydocks World Dubai, and Jose V J, Chairman and Managing Director and Director (Finance) of Cochin Shipyard, signed the JVA.  

The ceremony was held in the presence of Sarbananda Sonowal, Union Minister of Ports, Shipping and Waterways, and Omran Sharaf Alhashimi, UAE Assistant Foreign Minister for Advanced Science and Technology.  

Agreement Follows Earlier JV Proposal 

The latest announcement is a direct follow-up to Cochin Shipyard's September 9 disclosure on the proposed joint venture. The company has now moved ahead with the formal agreement between the two parties.  

The September 11, 2026, filing does not provide further details about what the joint venture will undertake. 

Financial Details Are Yet to Be Shared 

Cochin Shipyard has not given the investment amount, shareholding structure or capital contribution for the JV in this filing. 

There is also no information on the proposed JV entity, project value, capacity, revenue contribution or implementation timeline.
