HDFC Bank, Cipla, Axiscades Technologies, Max Estates, Avantel, Clean Max Enviro Energy Solutions, Aurobindo Pharma and NBCC are among the key stocks to watch on August 31, 2026.
HDFC Bank Ltd
HDFC Bank said Sashidhar Jagdishan has decided not to seek reappointment as Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer. He will retire from the bank’s services effective October 26, 2026. The board has decided to fast-track the appointment of his successor. Separately, Jio Platforms, a subsidiary of Reliance Industries, has received an observation letter from SEBI on the draft red herring prospectus filed for its proposed IPO.
Cipla Ltd
The US Food and Drug Administration has classified the inspection of Unit 3, a manufacturing facility operated by Cipla’s subsidiary InvaGen Pharmaceuticals in the US, as Voluntary Action Indicated. The inspection was conducted from 13 to 17 July 2026.
Axiscades Technologies Ltd
Axiscades Technologies will acquire up to a 90% stake in Bengaluru-based Cloud Wave Technologies for around ₹234 crore. The company may subsequently acquire the remaining 10% stake. Cloud Wave Technologies operates in the precision engineering and manufacturing space.
Max Estates Ltd
Max Estates has entered into a Share Purchase Agreement to acquire the entire ownership interest in promoter-owned land-holding companies that collectively own an approximately 84.71-acre land parcel in West Delhi. The transaction will be completed through a non-cash share swap, with consideration paid through the issue of equity shares. The land parcel is estimated to have a gross development value of around ₹10,000-12,000 crore over the coming years.
Avantel Ltd
Avantel has received a contract worth ₹117.88 crore from the Defence Research and Development Organisation for the development, installation and commissioning of a Ground Segment Hub for voice and data communication.
Clean Max Enviro Energy Solutions Ltd
The board of Clean Max Enviro Energy Solutions has approved the execution of a Term Sheet with Envision Energy India for the procurement of wind turbine generators for wind power projects with an aggregate capacity of 1,550 MW. The proposal covers 310 wind turbine generators of 5 MW each, along with supervision and technical support for installation and commissioning.
Aurobindo Pharma Ltd
The US FDA inspected Unit-VI, an API manufacturing facility of Aurobindo Pharma’s subsidiary Apitoria Pharma, at Anakapalli in Andhra Pradesh from 24 to 28 August 2026. The inspection concluded with three observations, which the company described as procedural in nature.
NBCC Ltd
NBCC has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with NHPC to execute infrastructure projects across India. The projects will include residential blocks, residential and commercial infrastructure, office complexes and allied facilities. NBCC will provide project management consultancy services at a fee of 5.5%.
Transformers and Rectifiers (India) Ltd
Transformers and Rectifiers (India) has secured an order for the supply of generator transformers for NPCIL’s Kaiga Units 5 and 6 nuclear power project in Karnataka. The order, received from Megha Engineering and Infrastructures, marks the company’s first order in the nuclear power sector.
Ashoka Buildcon Ltd
Ashoka Buildcon has received a Letter of Acceptance worth ₹602.16 crore from Rail Vikas Nigam for the supply and commissioning of an electromechanical system.
Tata Chemicals Ltd
Tata Chemicals North America Inc., a subsidiary of Tata Chemicals, has been declared the successful bidder in the Chapter 11 bankruptcy proceedings of Searles Valley Minerals in the US. The transaction covers North American soda ash customer contracts representing more than half a million metric tonnes of customer orders through December 2028. The contracts are expected to generate more than $110 million in revenue over the contract period.
LIC Housing Finance Ltd
The board has approved the appointment of Sandeep Kumar as Additional Director and Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of LIC Housing Finance, effective 29 August 2026.
Prestige Estates Projects Ltd
Prestige Estates Projects has launched a new residential development named Prestige Palm Court in Madhavaram, North Chennai. The project is spread across 7.98 acres and has an estimated gross development value of ₹1,330 crore.
Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd
Mahindra & Mahindra has expanded its Battery-as-a-Service programme across its electric-origin SUV portfolio. The programme will now be available for the BE 6 SPORTEQ, XEV 9S and XEV 9e.

Ola Electric Mobility Ltd
Ola Electric has received a sanction order from the Ministry of Heavy Industries for incentives of ₹95.81 crore under the Production Linked Incentive Scheme for automobiles and auto components.
Indraprastha Gas Ltd
Indraprastha Gas has increased the price of compressed natural gas across Delhi-NCR by ₹3.89 per kg. The company attributed the increase to the re-escalation of the West Asia crisis.
Oil India Ltd
Oil India’s subsidiary OIL Green Energy has signed Memoranda of Understanding with the municipalities of Gurugram, Faridabad, Hisar and Ambala in Haryana for integrated compressed biogas and waste-to-energy projects. The proposed facilities will process 5,000 tonnes of municipal solid waste per day and are expected to produce 70-75 tonnes per day of compressed biogas and 50 MW of green power.
Knowledge Realty Trust
Blackstone entities will sell up to a 25.03% stake in Knowledge Realty Trust through an offer for sale on 31 August and 1 September. The base offer covers a 16.69% stake, with an option to sell an additional 8.34%. The floor price has been fixed at ₹108 per unit.
Bulk and Block Deals
Lenskart Solutions saw Alpha Wave Ventures II LP and Alpha Wave Ventures sell 2.94 crore equity shares, representing 1.7% of paid-up equity, for ₹1,856.8 crore at ₹630 per share. A total of 33 global and domestic investors acquired the shares.
In Genus Power Infrastructures, GIC Group’s Chiswick Investment sold 35.78 lakh shares, representing a 1.17% stake, for ₹116.12 crore at ₹324.50 per share. Aart Corporate Advisors and HSBC Mutual Fund were the buyers.
Investor Ashish Dhawan acquired an additional 38 lakh shares, representing a 1.11% stake, in Religare Enterprises for ₹88.16 crore at ₹232 per share. His stake in the company stood at 5.24% as of June 2026.
Hero MotoCorp acquired an additional 1.18 crore shares, representing a 3.01% stake, in Ather Energy from the Government of Singapore for ₹1,758.24 crore at ₹1,480 per share.
In Strides Pharma Science, promoter Arun Kumar Pillai bought an additional 10 lakh shares, equivalent to a 1.08% stake, for ₹99 crore at ₹990 per share. SBI Life Insurance Company was the seller.
Conclusion
Leadership changes, regulatory developments, fresh defence and infrastructure orders, renewable energy plans, real estate transactions and large block deals are likely to drive stock-specific activity during Monday’s session.
