HBL Engineering Wins ₹54.12 Crore Railway Safety Contract
HBL Engineering Ltd (NSE: HBLENGINE) has announced a significant order win from the West Central Railway for the implementation of advanced safety systems under the KAVACH initiative.
The contract involves comprehensive work across two sections in the Kota division, aimed at enhancing operational safety and efficiency.
Contract Scope and Details
The project covers the Kota–Ruthiyai section and Sogaria–Kota “C” section, spanning 166 route kilometers. The scope includes survey, design, supply, installation, testing, and commissioning of trackside KAVACH equipment at stations and Level Crossing (LC) Gate locations. Additionally, the order involves the erection of towers and other associated works necessary for the deployment of KAVACH systems.
The contract encompasses 18 stations in total and is valued at ₹54.12 crore (inclusive of 18% GST). HBL Engineering has been allotted 700 days to complete the project.
About KAVACH System
KAVACH is an indigenous Train Collision Avoidance System (TCAS) designed to improve railway safety by preventing signal passing at danger, overspeeding, and collisions. The system uses a combination of RFID, GPS, and radio communication technologies to ensure real-time monitoring and automatic intervention in case of safety breaches.
Strengthening Order Book
With the addition of this contract, HBL Engineering’s total accumulated order book has reached ₹4,083.17 crore, underscoring the company’s growing role in India’s railway modernisation projects. The win further strengthens its portfolio in railway safety solutions and technology integration.
