As the weekly Sensex expiry approaches, market players are adjusting their strategies. Meanwhile, the exchange has temporarily restricted a few specific securities in the derivatives segment, a standard move as part of its ongoing market surveillance. 

On September 10, 2026, Bandhan Bank, Inox Wind, Kaynes Technology India, LIC Housing Finance, Manappuram Finance and Steel Authority of India have been placed under the futures and options (F&O) trading ban.  

Sensex Weekly Expiry: Stocks Under F&O Ban 

Ahead of the weekly expiry, Bandhan Bank, Inox Wind, Kaynes Technology India, LIC Housing Finance, Manappuram Finance and Steel Authority of India have been placed under the F&O trading ban. The restriction has been imposed after the stock crossed 95% of the market-wide position limit (MWPL). 

While fresh positions are not allowed in the futures and options segment for the stock, it continues to remain available for trading in the cash market. 

The stock under the F&O ban for September 10, 2026, are: 

1.Bandhan Bank

As of September 9, 2026, at 3:30 PM, Bandhan Bank Share Price on NSE was closed at ₹171.70 up by 0.07% from the previous closing price. 

2.Inox Wind

Inox Wind Share Price Performance 

Inox Wind took a slight hit on September 9, 2026, closing on the NSE at ₹77.39 by 3:30 PM, a gain of 2.22% from the previous day's close.  

3.KaynesTechnology India  

Kaynes Technology India Share Price Performance 

As of September 9, 2026, at 3:30 PM, Kaynes Technology India on NSE was closed at 3,615.00 up by 0.14% from the previous closing price. 

4.LIC Housing Finance 

LIC Housing Finance Share Price Performance 

As of September 9, 2026, at 3:30 PM, LIC Housing Finance on NSE was closed at ₹555.00 down by 1.42% from the previous closing price. 

5.ManappuramFinance  

Manappuram Finance Share Price Performance 

Manappuram Finance took a slight hit on September 9, 2026, closing on the NSE at ₹320.00 by 3:30 PM, a drop of 1.54% from the previous day's close.  

6.Steel Authority of India 

Steel Authority of India Share Price Performance 

As of September 9, 2026, at 3:30 PM, Steel Authority of India Share Price on NSE was closed at ₹186.40 up by 0.16% from the previous closing price.

What is Sensex Weekly Expiry? 

Sensex options contracts expire every Thursday. In cases where Thursday is a trading holiday, the expiry is shifted to the previous trading day. 

Settlement occurs at the regular market closing time unless otherwise specified by the exchange. Similarly, if the final Thursday of the expiry cycle is a holiday, contracts expire on the preceding trading session. 

Conclusion 

Bandhan Bank, Inox Wind, Kaynes Technology India, LIC Housing Finance, Manappuram Finance and Steel Authority of India have been placed in the F&O ban list underscores the importance of monitoring position limits.
