Blinkit has expanded its quick commerce operations by entering one of the busiest travel hubs in India.
As per news reports, the company has introduced its services inside Mumbai’s Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport, marking a new step in its offline expansion strategy.
The service is currently available at Terminal 2 for domestic departures and is positioned as the first instance globally where quick commerce delivery is offered within an airport environment. This launch has been executed in partnership with Adani Airports.
Travellers can browse and order from a catalogue of more than 2,500 products, including essentials such as phone chargers, books and gifting items, directly through the Blinkit app. Orders are fulfilled within the terminal by dedicated delivery personnel who walk items to customers.
To use the service, passengers must first clear airport security. Once inside, they can open the app, select their precise location and place an order.
Deliveries are restricted to designated areas such as boarding gates, lounges, restaurants and waiting zones. Customers are required to verify their order and share an OTP with the delivery partner to complete the process.
Cash-on-delivery is not available for this service, and standard delivery charges apply. In cases where items are damaged or missing, users can initiate a return request through the app before confirming delivery.
This move is part of Blinkit’s broader push to strengthen its presence in India’s fast-growing quick commerce market by exploring high-footfall locations. The company continues to diversify its delivery model to improve accessibility and convenience for users.
The expansion comes alongside strong financial performance. In Q3 FY26, Blinkit reported a net order value of ₹13,300 crore, compared to ₹6,020 crore in the same period last year, reflecting a growth of 120.9%. Revenue rose sharply to ₹12,256 crore from ₹1,399 crore, registering a 776.1% increase.
The company also achieved a milestone by reporting its first-ever adjusted EBITDA profit of ₹4 crore during the quarter.
