The Odisha government is set to disburse the third installment of ₹5,000 under the Subhadra Yojana on August 9, 2025, coinciding with the festival of Rakhi Purnima. The disbursement event will take place in Koraput district, reaching over 1 crore women beneficiaries across the state.
Following the 3rd installment disbursal, the Subhadra Yojana portal will reopen on August 9 to accept fresh applications. Women who have recently turned 21 or were previously unaware or ineligible will now have the opportunity to apply.
This move is aimed at expanding the scheme’s reach and ensuring that all eligible women, including those left out in previous rounds, receive the financial benefits.
As per Deputy Chief Minister Pravati Parida, a fresh survey will be launched to reassess the cases of the nearly 2 lakh disqualified women. Those found to be eligible upon re-evaluation will receive all pending installments in a lump sum.
In addition, approximately 93,000 women who have crossed 60 years of age have been removed from the Subhadra Yojana beneficiary list. These individuals have been recommended for enrollment under state-run social security and pension schemes.
