What are Securities Transaction Tax?

Securities Transaction Tax is a direct tax charged on the purchase and sale of securities that are listed on stock exchanges. Buy and Sale of equity delivery shares: 0.1% per executed order Sale of equity intraday shares: 0.025% per executed order Sale of futures in securities: STT shall be revised to 0.02% from 0.0125% Sale of options in securities: STT shall be revised to 0.1% of premium from 0.0625%
