About Kothari Fermentation & Biochem
Incorporated in 1990, Kothari Fermentation & Biochem was promoted by Motilal Kothari and his associates. It has its plant at Bulandshahar, Uttar Pradesh.
The company manufactures Yeast and its derivatives. Yeast and its derivatives, which find application in diverse areas, from the manufacture of bread to the brewing of beer, is also used as a source of vitamin in food products and pharmaceuticals. KFBL produces various kinds of yeast under the brand name Sunrise. The company's product range includes compressed yeast, dried yeast, distiller yeast improvers, extract paste and extract powder.
Distiller yeast improvers are used by distilleries manufacturing alcohol using cane molasses and non-molasses as raw material. Its yeast extract paste and powder are sold as premium products to the food, bio-technology and pharmaceutical industries.
The Company has been referred to BIFR as the networth was fully eroded.
