Incorporated in 1993, Just Dial Limited is one of the leading local search engines and local discovery platforms in India. The company offers a comprehensive listing of businesses, services and products across different categories. The company started as A&M Communications Private Limited. In 1996, they started their search business operations in Mumbai with a telephone number. In 2006, the company’s name was changed to Just Dial Private Limited. In 2007, the company launched its website, www.justdial.com and started a website search service along with an SMS service in the same year. In 2009, Just Dial’s website for the first time, achieved 25 million visits in a year. In 2011, the company had a demerger of activities and operations pertaining to IT-related testing and related services to JD Global. In 2013, they launched Search Plus Services and went public in the same year. In 2014, Just Dial expanded its services and launched them in the UAE and the UK. This was followed by the launch of their Android App, Search Plus. In 2021, the company launched an exclusive B2B platform, Jd Mart. As of September 2023, the company has listed more than 40 million businesses across India. They are available in over 11,000 pin codes spread across over 250 cities.
