The Eighth Central Pay Commission has begun outlining its nationwide consultation schedule, with meetings planned across multiple cities to gather inputs from stakeholders. As of now, the Commission has confirmed interactions in Delhi, Hyderabad, Srinagar, and Leh, while indicating that additional meetings will be held in other states and Union Territories in the coming months.
The outreach forms a critical part of the pay revision process, allowing government organisations, employee unions, and associations to present their recommendations.
The Commission scheduled its initial round of meetings in Delhi between April 28 and April 30, 2026. However, it received a large number of requests for interaction, exceeding available slots.
Due to the compressed timeline, not all applicants could be accommodated during these dates. The Commission has clarified that additional meetings will be held in Delhi later, along with sessions in other regions, to ensure broader participation.
Stakeholders who missed the initial window are expected to get further opportunities as the consultation process expands.
The next confirmed visit is to Hyderabad, Telangana, on May 18 and May 19, 2026. Stakeholders, including central government institutions and employee unions, must first submit their memorandum on the official portal and then apply for an appointment.
The deadline to request an interaction in Hyderabad is May 8, 2026. Meeting venue details and schedules will be communicated separately after the application process.
The Commission has also indicated that separate meetings will be held in Visakhapatnam, Andhra Pradesh, at a later stage.
Expanding its outreach to northern regions, the Commission will visit Srinagar in Jammu & Kashmir (UT) from June 1 to June 4, 2026. The last date to apply for interaction is May 16, 2026.
Following this, a one-day meeting is scheduled in Leh, Ladakh (UT), on June 8, 2026, with the same application deadline of May 16, 2026.
In both locations, stakeholders must submit a memorandum and obtain a unique ID before requesting an appointment. Detailed schedules and venues will be announced closer to the meeting dates.
The ongoing consultation schedule highlights the Eighth Central Pay Commission’s effort to ensure inclusive stakeholder engagement across regions. With more meetings expected nationwide, organisations and employee groups should closely track deadlines and submission requirements to participate effectively in shaping the next round of pay revisions.
