SBI Mutual Fund, the largest fund house by assets under management, reported an AUM of ₹12.92 lakh crore across 127 schemes. Data for February shows a broad reshuffle in its portfolio, with more additions than reductions during the month. 

Increase in Holdings 

As per the Prime Database report, the fund house raised its stake in 384 stocks. Among the names where exposure went up were ICICI BankOil and Natural Gas Corporation (ONGC)Multi Commodity Exchange of India (MCX) and ITC Limited. 

Other additions included InterGlobe Aviation (IndiGo)Hindustan ZincBerger Paints India and Oil India. The fund also increased exposure to Jio Financial ServicesHindustan Aeronautics Limited (HAL) and Adani Ports and Special Economic Zone, among others. 

Reduction in Select Stocks 

Holdings were reduced in 170 stocks during the same period. These included HDFC BankInfosysIndian Oil Corporation and Asian Paints. 

The fund also pared exposure to Reliance IndustriesBSE LimitedAxis Bank and JSW Energy. Other names saw partial reductions, including Petronet LNGTVS Motor Company and LTIMindtree. 

New Addition and Portfolio Composition 

A fresh entry during February was Fractal Analytics. The fund acquired 46.73 lakh shares in the company, with an investment of about ₹363 crore. There were no complete exits from any stock during the month. 

The portfolio also included 4 lesser-tracked stocks, Elin ElectronicsGayatri BioorganicsGKW Limited, and Pakka Limited. Among these, Pakka had the highest holding at around 33.45 lakh shares.

Conclusion 

The February data indicates a wider increase in positions alongside selective trimming, while the absence of full exits suggests continuity in overall portfolio exposure.
