Euler Motors has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Jio-bp to expand electric vehicle charging facilities across selected logistics locations in India, as per PTI report.
The companies said the arrangement will focus on areas with steady commercial vehicle activity, where charging access is still limited.
Under the agreement, the partners will identify high-usage business zones where commercial EVs operate regularly. These may include last-mile delivery pockets, warehouse districts, and industrial corridors with dense vehicle movement.
Charging points are expected to be set up close to such clusters so that vehicles can recharge without leaving their operational routes. This approach is aimed at reducing idle time for fleets.
The partnership is centred on electric three-wheelers and light commercial vehicles used in city deliveries. Adoption in these segments has been increasing, driven by rising fuel costs and emission norms in several cities.
However, charging access remains uneven, especially in crowded urban areas where fleet vehicles follow fixed routes. The companies said they will combine deployment data with charging network capabilities to identify suitable sites.
Commercial transport accounts for a sizeable portion of urban road usage, particularly in delivery corridors. As fleet electrification grows, manufacturers and energy providers have been working together to build targeted charging networks.
These efforts are typically concentrated around high-demand logistics zones instead of general public locations, as fleet operators depend on predictable charging points close to their routes.
